Zagorec method

Corner permutation alg is very long, you could stick with A-Perm. And those final edge permutation algs look like 3x3x2 algs. Don't they swap your middle layer edges around? U/H/Z perms would save you alot of moves. Which I know makes it less useful as a beginners method... But them so does EO.

This is an unoptimized method that looks very similar to Human Kociemba, HTA, ring, etc. except with a pretty much random order of solving pieces. You said it only uses 5 algs, so I guess you want this to be a beginner method suitable for people totally new to the cube, but again it's kind of random (with lots of steps in an unintuitive order), and there are some concepts that would be very tricky for beginners, like keeping track of which edges are oriented and solving most of the steps intuitively. The article you wrote is really hard to follow, uses weird terminology ("down cross"? how about just a picture) and definitely needs some example solves. I don't think this deserves to be named, or belongs on the wiki, but I'm not going to remove it myself because I'd like to see what other people think first...

hta/belt varients have a tendency to be move heavy and don't work well for speedsolving. Steps like EO can take a bit to get used to as well. Not to be a negative nancy, but I don't think this would be worthwhile as a beginner method.

i think crider came out with this method (or one very similar) a few years ago.

It is not the same!

I quote my tutorial:

The following steps describe an approach suited for beginners, more advanced users might combine steps 4 and 5 and for 7 and 8 steps use a Fridrich type last layer and do PLL.

Every time when you perform R2 U R2 U’ R2 algorithm your cube will end up with MFR (middle-front-right) piece switched with MBR (middle-back-right) piece. Just ignore this. It is only important that you don’t rotate cube trough 6., 7., and 8. step.

Tnx for comment but who are you to remove my tutorial!?
If you put your method on wiki I will never even think about removing your tutorial.

I removed method from beginners category!

An example solve would be nice.

Front face blue:
Scrambe: L2 B2 U' B2 R2 U' B2 F2 L2 F2 U B L D' U L U' F2 U2 F L'
1. Orient edges : L R' F U F R2 F'
2. Build up and down cross: R' L' U L R D' R' L' D2 L
3. Orient corners: U D' (R' D L2 D' R) U D2 (R' D L2 D' R) U2 D (R' D L2 D' R) U' R2 D' (R' D L2 D' R)
4. Put middle layer edges on right place: R2 L2 F2 B2
5. Build proper down cross: D2 U R2 D' R2 D2 R2 D2 R2
6. Put corners with down color in right place: U D (R2 U R2 U' R2) D2 (R2 U R2 U' R2) D'(R2 U R2 U' R2) D2 (R2 U R2 U' R2) D2 (R2 U R2 U' R2) D

If you're going to try to teach people anything, it would be nice if you actually learned some basic notation rather than just making up nonsensical abbreviations. The goal is to make it EASIER to learn your method, right? Not harder?

It's a wiki, which means anyone can edit anything. On an unrelated note, the purpose of the wiki is to be a reference guide to stuff people ought to know about. It's not the place for full-fledged, in-depth tutorials that explain every detail of a method. It's also not the place for obscure ideas that nobody else is going to use. I urge you to think a bit more about your method before writing tons of stuff about it. There are easily thousands of ways to solve the cube and most of them will just waste time.

7. Permute up corners: U' (R2 U R2 U’ R2 U’ D R2 U’ R2 U R2) U2 (R2 U R2 U’ R2 U’ D R2 U’ R2 U R2) D2 U'
8. Permute up edges: (R2 U2 R2 U2 R2) U' (R2 U2 R2 U2 R2) U2 (R2 U R2 U R2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U R2 U’ R2) U'
You cannot be serious.
(R2 U2 R2 U2 R2) U' y2 (R' U R' U' y x2 R' U R' U' R2 x' U' R' U R U)

Quote from http://www.ryanheise.com/cube/human_thistlethwaite_algorithm.html

„Start with one corner at LUF (corner A) and the other corner at FDR (corner B).“

There is used the same notation:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bnwig7qham8&feature=relmfu

How come that for Rayan Heise is that good notation and for me is not????

You cannot be serious.
(R2 U2 R2 U2 R2) U' y2 (R' U R' U' y x2 R' U R' U' R2 x' U' R' U R U)

Idea for method was that is simple for remember and not speed.
I mention couple of time "don't rotate the cube"

The difference is that Heise uses 3 letter abbreviations to denote corner pieces. You're using 3 letter abbreviations to denote edge pieces, where 2 letters would be sufficient. MFR is just FR and MBR is just BR.

OK tnx! I will correct this!
In step 8. I did use correct 2 letter abbreviations for edges. But I didn't see in time my mistake in step 6

Tnx again!

I've tidied up some of you tutorial on the Wiki, for more clarity and alternate ways of doing steps. You didn't need to put all of that stuff about orienting edges in, if anything, a link to the Edge orientation page would have been more correct, because we don't need the same information placed in the wiki in multiple places.
