This will be a written review, and please do voice your opinion in the replies.
I was super excited when this came in the mail along with DNM, Mystic, and a MGC 4x4!
The packaging is just like what you see in the pictures, although it may have some dents and scratches. There is a hard to open case where the cube comes in and a big accessory box for everything you’ll ever need for this cube! The synthetic leather cube bag is a bit difficult to close, so I am not going to be using that. OOTB, this cube is super smooth. It has a really soft and glidy feel, which you have probably already heard. The cube is also very stable, which I really like. The black internals really catch my eye (I’m a sucker for black internals). The speed was quite good, although I still sped it up with some DNM and Mystic. One very minor (and very common with any cube) gripe is that it comes coated in lube. It’s a bit annoying, but it definitely will not be a deal-breaker.
I immediately began to test the corner cutting and sure enough, it’s pretty bad. So, I popped open every one of the center caps and changed the screw depth to 1. Just as expected, the corner cutting improved by a lot. It was still not the greatest but if you’re an accurate turner, it’s fine. It did feel a little bit faster and looser, but I didn’t mind. I left the tension at 3 because I was fine with it (and mostly because I was lazy). I then set the magnet strength for 2 because I like weaker magnets, and it was pretty much perfect. The reason why I like weaker magnets is because it makes the slices easier, the magnets less intrusive, and the solves less tiring. I really think that having weak magnets complement the smooth and fast feel really well. One minor problem is that when you’re TPS spamming and you twist a corner, there is a chance that the magnet settings can get messed up. However, this is less of a problem with weaker magnets because the corner is further away from the edge magnets (if that makes sense). The cube also makes a ticking sound when you turn sometimes, but it’s not very noticeable .
Settings:
Screw Depth: 1
Tension: 3
Magnets: 2
I cannot stress enough how satisfying this cube feels when turning. As many other reviews on this cube have said, it is really soft, smooth, and quiet. And I can confirm that it does in fact get quieter as you do more solves. Out of all my cubes, this cube has the most of all the aforementioned qualities. Yes, this is my new main!
Edit: The included case for the cube is also decently hard to open. However, the real problem is that the top cover keeps bumping into the cube or knocking it out every time... I don't use it anymore.
