Yau/Redux makeup

I think that most top solvers use Yau, and that's to help with lookahead, and getting a head start on the chosen cross. That's the same idea behind Hoya, but Hoya is a little more creative yet awkward at building cross IMO. With redux you do suffer lookahead but it also teaches you how to scan the top and bottom as you are solving your edges, and it helps you solve edges w/out thinking about it.
I also think that the switch is very recent as well. Back in like 2018 the top big solvers at the time were Feliks, Kevin Hays, and Max Park. I think they all used reduction with free slice edges. However, I think from COVID onward more top big solvers experimented with other methods and found that Yau worked best for them, so that's what they used.
