How can i switch from redux to yau cleanly (Within a month with no time increase)
I use a form of redux i think is called Redux/Yau (Make all centers first, solve cross edges, build cross and then solve rest of edges)
I havent done much 4x4 in that long, i average about 1:25 and would like to hopefully drop to Sub 1:00 eventually
(I have a comp in april lol)

I know the basics of yau but I'm having problems building the other 4 centers with the three edges intact
Learn the method that jper taught , I think its caled half centers. Just hold the first 2 centdrs on the left snd right side of the cube and remember not to do move the middle slice horizontally or move three edges at all. Id say you should keep the side with no solved edge facing up.

i think a time increase when switching method is inevitable. The best way to transition from Redux to Yau is to just do solves. Even with all the targeted practice in the world all practice for all events comes back down to one thing, and that’s just solves.

I suggest putting the three cross edges on the left and then limiting yourself to only solving the 4 centers using Rw and U moves. Also put one of your four centers on the bottom (that’s what i find to be easy). Later on you can stretch some of these barriers.

Yes exactly, that's the same approach as mine, I don't know what to call it, but i call it modified reduction.

Where I solve centers then pair cross edges first, then we pair rest of the edges.

After that I first insert 2 F2l pairs then I solve last 4 edges using cycles. I have already uploaded lots of solves in my channel.

Same I used and it's very helpful, my time using yau and redux is same in 6 by 6, this technique really helps.

I also tried to switch to yau, I am not that efficient in yau but still I practice it sometimes.

I am a redux user, but i always love to apply different and unique approaches in big cubes. I already have 5 unique playlists where I upload big cube solves.

@6 by 6 I reccomend you do slowly switch to Yau, because te more you practice, the faster and more efficient you get.
True, but I really enjoy the structure and flexibility of reduction.

Also my practice time is dropped a lot because of my internship, so now a days I only record videos at night, and do aa little bit of 6 by 6 practice.

But thanks for the suggestion.
