I'm taking Algebra 1 in 8th.
What Ima math nerd.
15 and 9 are divisible by 3, so 7y^2 should be divisible to 3 for the equation to have a solution. Then we can say that y = 3t
The equation becomes: 15x^2 - 7.9t^2 = 9 and when we divide the equation to 3, it becomes: 5x^2 - 21t^2 = 3 and from that, we can see that x has to be divisible by 3 as well. x = 3s, then the equation becomes
5.9s^2 - 21t^2 = 3 => 15s^2 - 7t^2 = 1
if we consider the equation in modulo 3 now, it becomes 2t^2=4
t^2 = 2(mod 3), but t^2 = 3n + 2 has no integer solutions.

yeaah probably shouldn't do that
