Why is that "quite odd"? They have to be verified by the delegates, submitted, and then approved. Sometimes that takes a few days. And it's not in any way odd.seems Quite Odd that this new WR does not show up on the WCA Rankings page . . .
0.03 is a lot. It's like shaving 0.08 seconds off the 100-meter sprint world record if you think about itthese days every time there's a new wr they're always chopping off 0.03 seconds bro
Not really, since there's a lot more luck and variation in cubing0.03 is a lot. It's like shaving 0.08 seconds off the 100-meter sprint world record if you think about it
To add on, there is a lot more room for improvement in cubing times than there are for 100 m dashNot really, since there's a lot more luck and variation in cubing
please elaborate?I'm starting to think this is unfair...
To be honest, you can envy them, but don't forget they probably spend a lot of their time on this hobby... And maybe this hobby alone. I have a lot of hobbies, and I wouldn't give up any of them just for cubing.
Don't look at the results only; but with the hard working path that leads to them.
I wonder if a kid who’s been learning and playing chess since they were little would be called a chess computer.Yeah, envy these kids with caution; starting just after birth, their entire (growing) brain is basically a cube-solving-computer, which may very well make them VERY POOR at other skills/tasks in life. So when it is time for them to move on from cubing to other things, they may not do so well.
I have news for you:I wonder if a kid who’s been learning and playing chess since they were little would be called a chess computer.
