[WR] Xuanyi Geng 3.05 3x3 WR Single

this solve is essentially just a base ZZ solve with a PLL skip. He didn’t use “ZZ-A” because the L case Xuanyi got is just the standard L case but done from a different angle. The case Xuanyi did was F l’ U’ L U r U’ r’, and the alg Xuanyi did was F’ r U R’ U’ r’ F R (sorry if the notation is off i am doing this in my head). So really, if you use the “ZBLL” Xuanyi used as your standard L case, then that would just be your standard PLL skip, however, if you used the standard alg, you would have not gotten a PLL skip (if you used the “standard alg for Xuanyi’s 3.05)

Just the fact that there's kids over half my age doing things that i will never do, despite me cubing for 5+ yrs. Heck when i was 7 i was proud because i could beat my friend at arm wrestling and just learned how to tie my shoe. Yea ik I'm just making excuses, leave me alone 😭

nah in seriousness props to Xuanyi love to see it

To be honest, you can envy them, but don't forget they probably spend a lot of their time on this hobby... And maybe this hobby alone. I have a lot of hobbies, and I wouldn't give up any of them just for cubing.
Don't look at the results only; but with the hard working path that leads to them.

Also, consider that they grew up with this hardware. The hardware we grew up with was objectively worse, so we adapted habits to that older hardware that inherently slows us down. For reference, Xuanyi wasn't even born when the Valk released.

Yeah, envy these kids with caution; starting just after birth, their entire (growing) brain is basically a cube-solving-computer, which may very well make them VERY POOR at other skills/tasks in life. So when it is time for them to move on from cubing to other things, they may not do so well.
I wonder if a kid who’s been learning and playing chess since they were little would be called a chess computer.

This is a very good point-- In a sense, I do feel bad for a lot of these kids because cubing is almost all they know. I doubt people of this age willingly pick up the hobby out of their own interests and passion.

To play devil's advocate, I was also very much into supercars when I was young. My parents never pushed me into that.

Ultimately, you can't really assume anything. I just hope these children are well.
