Hello!

I currently average 23ish, and am looking to at least get a sub 20 average! I just finished up learning the rest of PLL, and was wondering if I should learn OLL or work on lookahead for F2L.

My cross average is ~3.5
My cross+f2l average is ~15
My LL is ~7.5

What should I work on? If F2L, what exactly can I work on to speed it up? As with the LL? Thanks :D

I think your F2L is good although it wouldn't hurt to practise it some more until F2L+Cross is sub 10 (basically work on lookahead). For the LL just drill algs so you can execute as fast as you can and make sure your recognition is good.

How can I work on recognition?

Learn 2 sided PLL recognition and try to predict what OLL case you will get when finishing F2L and what PLL case you will get during the last few moves of OLL (learning ROLL may help for this and slow turning solves may also be a good idea as you see what happens to pieces as you turn).

Learning full OLL may also help to break the 20 second barrier that a lot of people seem to get stuck at.

I'd say F2L.
for the last slot I either do a URU'R' or a R'FRF' depending on the case so as to not get a dot case. That's what I do and I'm JUST sub-20

F2L. LL can be sped up, but it will get faster as you practice naturally. If you continue to do f2l the same way, it can actually make you have bad habits, and make them harder to break the bad habits.

If you have enough time, work on both!
