Which 4x4 brand should I buy?

No the one that Odin posted is just an an Eastsheen with the Cube4you logo, FDK.

Get the cube4you 4x4 (see the link that FDK posted in the link above).

got the new Rubik's, eastheen and mefferts 4x4x4 and at the beginning they're all pretty good, after lubing the rubik's starts to suck pretty fast, east sheen stays pretty good (though a little locky and it can't cut corners) and till now (though I had it for 2 weeks) mefferts (white) is the best

ok, im on the Mefferts website, and it seems so badly set up and redirected me to some website thats half in chinese where they ask me to submit my credit car information. Anyone have any experience with the Mefferts website? Did you feel uncomfortable too with it, and did it work?

don't even bother with non 3x3 Rubik's cubes...

I ordered it, and I hope it arrives soon. But it sucks they didn't give me a tracking number or anything so I can't keep a tab on it, but whatever. Anybody have any idea on how long it'll take to get to california?

And thanks for the tip Stachuk. My friend ordered a 4x4, and it broke it pieces when he dropped it. I told him the next time he should get a different brand, but nope, he didn't listen. It broke again, haha.

I asked Meffert's about Registered Airmail shipping (which is two dollars) and that gives you a tracking number. I am waiting for a white one as well, and it's been 9 days and I haven't received it yet (I'd say approximately 2 weeks).

I don't recommend listening to him, he says that 4x4s with ball cores are "pathetic" then he nitpicks the placement of the tiles. :rolleyes:

Cool, thanks for the clarification. My last Mefferts tooks 18 days to reach me in Vancouver B.C. so it should be close to that depending on your customs lineups.

Now that I'm done with my choice of cube, I have one more question: Which method am I supposed to use to solve it? Is their an equivalent to the 3x3 beginner method?

im pretty sure most people do centers, then edges, then the method they use for 3x3. once the centers ands edges are done, its exactly the same (not including parity) as a 3x3 but the middle layer is two pieces instead of one.

franklooi, get either a mefferts or the DX mefferts clone..
The DX clone is really a very very good cube for that price (by far the cheapest 4x4 I can get my hands on and I wouldn't say it's worse than mefferts)
