Which 4x4 brand should I buy?

We have:
The Rubiks Cube 4x4
The Mefferts or something along that line...
The Eastsheen

And if you guys haven't seen it, Cube4You has come out with their very own 3x3's and 4x4's, and I see all positive reviews on Youtube about the 3x3, check it out.

So it's pretty much between Mefferts and Eastsheen I guess. Suggestions? It'd be awesome to get replies from somebody that has both.

Mefferts. From all the rave reviews I've seen and heard, it's the very best. That's why I'm planning or ondering one instead of an Eastsheen 4x4. I've actually solved an Eastsheen 4x4 and I found that it was too small for me. Also, the purple stickers might annoy you initially.

But then again, you wanted "to get replies from somebody that has both", and I'm not that somebody. Nevertheless, consider doing some research by searching for "mefferts 4x4" and by reading everyone's recommendations.

Well, ive used all 3, and mefferts is my current favorite. Rubik's is horrible. Eastsheens are good at first, locky, but good. They then turn overly loose and locky.

Thanks for the input. Yeah, from the reviews and recommendations I've heard, I'm also leaning towards the Mefferts.

i dont know cube4you that much, the shipping cost is expansive, and it takes a long time to ship here, it takes me 3-4 weeks

get a mefferts and take the tiles off and put in stickers. People have reduced their PB's by 30 sec like tht.

Which ever you decide to go with...lubricate it with Jig A Loo....I did it with my Rubik's 4x4x4 and it moves really well. Also, get cubesmith tiles with it! (smooth)

I can't imagine there are many people that have a meffert's and an eastsheen that would recommend the latter. I know there are some, but I think your best bet is DEFINITELY a meffert's.

I have a Rubik's Retooled and after breaking it in a lot so it's nice an loose and polished.... recommend not getting one, it is only good if you want RSI for whatever reason and for training wrist strength.

i havent touched the screws, i think they are rivets meant to look like screws anyway so i wouldnt have tried to adjust them

I don't have one (yet just got shipped from Hong Kong) but you should include the possibility of ordering a 4x4 from deal extreme, if you have the money get a mefferts but the supposedly good 4x4 from deal extreme is only 9$ with free shipping? Maybe somebody has some input for this puzzle?

The DX 4x4x4 is a Meffert's clone, don't know how it compares to the original. It's supposedly just as good. But the original is expensive, IMO. And isn't a c4y 4x4x4 just an eastsheen with a c4y logo?
