where to go after speedsolving?

Quite a few cubers are into speed typing -

I played one of the craziest chess tournament games of my life yesterday. I was positionally better against a guy like 1000 points higher than me (my provisional rating is like 650) out of a semislav where he played a bit cramped but I went too aggressive for an attack and it failed into a queen vs rook+bishop endgame which I immediately blundered. Typical game
Oh sad to hear about the chess endgame

The cubing -> programming -> linux user pipeline is extremely real.

You could also choose the rhythm game route and start learning Japanese.

I don't think it's a pipeline, moreso a common set of hobbies. Like I have youtube channels dedicated to video games, misc tech unboxings, cubes, legos, music, and they seem to overlap. They used to all go on my main channel but I separated out the topics like cubing and that seems to be better for building an audience.
Beware the linux -> kneesocks pipeline though. It's a dark path.

I feel called out... I went from cubing, to being semi interested in Linux on usb drives, to coding, to having Arch Linux on my computer as a dual boot with MacOS, (Still trying to do all 3 though) at least I don't have a Anime background. (and yes, Arch is the first distro I properly used)

I started out with good ol' Trusty Tahr Ubuntu 14.04 (which until recently was STILL being supported in extended maintenance) running on crouton on our school's crappy chromebooks. I still use Ubuntu LTS to this day because they're stable and it's easy to find help online.
