If you check out older videos on his YT channel, he has plenty of other OH solves as well

There's no real benefit to adding OH NxNs. It's just gonna be even slower (and painful to practice!). It would slow down comps quite a bit when avg solvers are taking several minutes to do one 4x4 OH solve, let alone an avg or even bigger cubes.

If the wca were to add something, I'd rather see it add something that would bring something unique to the WCA, such as FTO.

Not a comp person myself, but I get all that... I have done OH 4×4 solves several times myself and it always seems to take over 5mins lol

Mostly made the title what it is as a way of introducing more of ap's amazing big cubes skills...

Agree, up to a point... would be nice for Qiyi, Moyu, and/or YJ to offer a nice mid-range magnetic FTO with improved materials and tech built into it
... I'd get one, and I have the LanLan (recommended by BenCisco) but it's pretty decent with lube and tensioning

I'm not fast at it but there is a fairly large (sub)community of speed-FTOers who have modded this same version, something similar to a Florian mod (FTOlorian?) as well as magnetization

If you checkout BenCisco's YT channel, EddtheRexMan, and others, you can find plenty of info in this regard, as well as diff levels tutorials & tips and lots of sub-25s solves (and averages) on cam.

FTO is basically better skewb. Mechanicaly, an FTO is a higher order 8-colored version of skewb.

OH is literally my least favorite event, haha. I can appreciate it from afar, however.
