WCA Should Add 1x1 As An Official Event

WCA should definitely add 1x1 as an official event, because it is beginner friendly and can get new people into cubing.
1x1 solves also don't depend on hardware as much as other cubes, so a beginner can use any 1x1 to do the event without having to spend money. This would be great because most people won't spend money on something they don't know that they will enjoy/use much, and 1x1 cubes are fairly cheap and you don't have to pay a lot of money to get a very good cube to be able to participate at world-class level.

Yeah, I don't even have a 1x1 yet because I'm not sub-0 on 3x3.
I've heard that you can only make 1x1 cutoff if you average less than 0 seconds on 3x3.

The difficulty with a 1x1 is not solving it. It starts as solved. The difficulty is how to scramble it, which I have never seen anyone accomplish.
