But, CFOP and Roux have been explored to death. For example: Pseudo-slotting. Keyhole, all those kind of f2l tricks, CLL, ZBLL, WV, COLL, 1LLL, and all those other last layer tricks weren’t invented by Jessica Fredrich. (person who made CFOP) These other extremely small methods are kinda crappy because they don’t get the light of day like CFOP and Roux.

They haven’t been explored as much because they don’t have as much potential and/or are far too new. ZZ and Petrus have both been thoroughly explored, and other methods either don’t have much potential, aren’t feasible, or haven’t been around very long. My point still stands: from what we know today, CFOP and Roux are the best methods, and we don’t have a way to say one is objectively better than the other

My point was that there might be a method that does have potential but is so new or so niche/obscure that there’s been no progress made to make it better. If we put in that much time that Cubers have put into Roux and CFOP, we might have a method 10x better. But, it’s equally as likely to be that the only reason CFOP and Roux are as well researched because they are the best. All I’m saying is that there might be better methods and there may not be.

C'mon guys, DR (Domino Reduction) is obviously the best speedsolving method. It's efficient (<29 moves per solve 90% of the time) and can also be done really quickly in speedsolving. It's so simple too:

1. DR (Orient all edges and corners AND put all edges in the middle layer.)
2. HTR (Make it so that the edges and corners are ALL in a position where they can all be solved using half turns, which also means NO solutions that result in an N perm since that is not solvable using only double moves.)
3. Solve the cube in the most efficient way possible using only half turns from here.

Step 1 should take 10 or fewer moves and steps 2 and 3 should take 18 or fewer moves every time (beginner) or 15 or fewer (advanced).

If done properly and at 10 TPS every solve, then we can get solves of anywhere from 1.6 to 2.8 seconds per solve every single time. It has no issues at all obviously, and you can just magically do NISS. It's already widely used in FMC and only takes an hour to do for them since their TPS is basically 0.00694 for a 25-move solution. If these people applied this to speedcubing it would have massive ripples on the speedsolving community. Just use this method and you'll be fine since it has no flaws at all whatsoever! :D :D :D

This was definitely not a joke guys; totally legit 👌👌👌

Finally hit 42,000,000,000,000,000,000, I can't wait to finish it off! I now average 1.5 seconds, on my way to sub-1!
I've heard that the last 1,252,003,274,489,856,000 combinations are the hardest to learn algs for. Good luck on your journey... You might need it!

You can use 2 look for the ones you don't know

Yeah, but it's also good to note that one can use mirroring if you use one-look, meaning that makes for only an eight of that, or
156,500,409,311,232,000
cases. Still a lot, but not as much. If you can use NISS recognition, it will only be 78,250,204,655,616,000 which is nice. Just do reverse scrambles.

As a CFOP solver, I believe that 1LS (1 Look Solve) with its 43,000,000,000,000,000,000 algorithms is hands down the best method. Still haven’t learned it yet though, I think you should add it.

I don't think that we can have a clear answer to that. ZZ is just not as popular. ZZ has a lot of potential but CFOP and roux are the most popular and therefore, people think is better. as CFOP being the most popular today, ZZ w/ ZBLL is theoretically better than CFOP. It's just people can't memorize so many algs.

why do you think it is so good if we don't have proof for that?
