the first recorded average he did in a weekly comp here was 19.xy, it was not the first timed solve he ever did though

mine was around 2 minutes, but that was january, when I just started cubing, I got a 24 avg 5 today

Probably 3:xx, but I don't remember. I didn't time my earliest non-alg sheet attempts. I do remember that I got a 2:32.xx PB (Stopwatch) a few days after learning.

4.xx, had just moved up to high (comprehensive) school which you do at age 12 in UK, circa 1981. Gotta love the ~10 look last layer, early beginner method I used :fp

I had already solved the cube with the fail method though so I could build the 1st layer with ease.
