Hey, i just ordered the Rubiks Brand 5x5, but i dont understand the concept of solving it, is there a specific method for it or what?

Currently i'm only used to 3x3's and 2x2.

Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

From what I understand, the reduction method is the most common way to solve it, you simplify it so it can be solved like a 3x3.

In future when buying cubes, be sure to check out the 'What cube should I buy thread' it can be really useful. But yeah pretty much everyone does centres first then edges then you've essentially got a 3x3.

Well, yeah i guess. But this was a Local online store that kinda sold the thingies and made you pay once you got it at the post office. Much easier for me and they only had the Old 3x3 Brand from the 80's and this one.

I did a 60$ order from Pickegg.com and i think it arrives tomorrow cant wait :D

Most people just use reduction with free slice edge pairing on the 5x5.

Also at some point in the future you could look into getting a ShenShou 5x5. They're really good and only around $10.
