My average is about 18 sec. and it's have been that in a month now. I can't get a better time. You mention something about looking ahead, is that still important? And what must my average be till it isn't that? Or is it my finger tricks? By the way, if I am going to a practising with looking ahead, won't I get a bad finger tricks over time? And I haven't done a solve sub13.

Weird things...

I was 30ish average 2 days ago, 25 average yesterday, and 30 average again today...

I've been stuck on 19-20 for a couple weeks now. I'm practicing my look ahead, learning COLL, trying to reduce F2L move count, and minimizing rotations. I hope to get to 16-17 in about 2 months from now for Princeton.

I've been on a 20 second average for like 3 months now. I really think it has something to do with my horrible store cube. Never tried a DIY ;o

it kinda depends on the day, whether u have a good or bad day. and also wuts your f2l time? and ll time?

yeah danny, it does depend on the day (if I'm really tired I'll do horribly)

I average 18 now, using full Fridrich. I'm guessing a key thing that's holding me back from getting great times consistently is transitioning between steps. I suppose this is most important during F2L, but i have pauses in the last layer as well. Once I overcome that on a regular basis, I can make my way to sub-15!

Warming up, if you do about 50 solves, then the day does not matter much anymore. A real warm up before the average and you can do good most days. Ok, days of bad sleep (only one night is ok, sometimes that can even make you faster), no food and such is always a problem.

My suggestion is to just slow it down to make sure you have very little delays. Then speed it back up again.

I need to do sub-14 in competition. sub-15 even eludes me. :(
