What DIY Should I get for first DIY?

simply think of a DIY as one in which the tensions can be adjusted, unlike store bought Rubik's cube. Assembly will come easy to you, and you will soon find which tensions you like best...its all preference, no right and no wrong!

There's a title difference.

C4Y cubes ARE DIYs, before the cubes are still 'Do It Yourself' cubes.
They are called this because they are DIYs from Cube4You.

However, at Cube4You's website, among the Type A's, B's, etc., there is a cube that's called THE 'Cube4You' cube.

Need a quick decision maker! Also the colors dont make a difference int he cube speed at all right? (just my own recognition may differ)

They say white plastic is the most pure and hence the best for cubing. I think the difference is infinitesimal for most if not all cube models. I still think you should give the Type C from DealExtreme a try because it's $6 + free shipping and it's a very decent cube. Cube4you shipping is up the wazoo.

Most people would agree that black is best for recognition. I personally think white cubes are just ugly.
