What Cubes do you think should be added to WCA competitions?

Im not sure if it would become sub-1; that would take incredibly fast one looking and a great scramble. Just the taking off of the cube cover would take a decent chunk of that. Either way I’d agree it’s a rather silly event to add officially since at a somewhat high level it just becomes 2x2 no inspection

I agree, the current single/average in the 2x2 discord server is 2.00/3.51. Even at this speed, it would be hard to regulate. If exec takes 1-2, the judge would have 1-2 to put a barrier. Just not good.

A few weeks ago, there was a 2BLD scramble in which you could do pre-AUF into a double reverse sexy solution, and then AUF to solve the cube.

That can be done in way under a second. So you are totally right about barriers being an issue.

But in 2BLD inspection will also be part of the solve time, and all of the process in sub1 is close to impossible

Yes, but if execution can be sub 1, which in that case it was, then judging is an issue, as a cover needs to be put between the cube and the solved while the solver is blindfolded.

Ah sorry, I misunderstood what you meant. I think 2bld is a terrible idea anyway
