What cube moves the fastest?

Sorry, I didn't know that. I just figured most people won't reread my previous post to see if I have changed it so i create a new one.

If it's within minutes, edit. Hours, edit. Days, new post. That's my rule of thumb.

ALSO. There are SO many things wrong with this thread.
@OP: I don't suggest buying a ZhanChi or other such cubes immediately. Also, to clarify, Lubix Guhongs etc. are Dayan Guhongs etc. which Donovan at Lubix Cubes buys, modifies, lubricates, and sells. They're still Dayan brand, just with Donovan's mods.
Firstly, how fast are you? I'd like to see an example solve. Or two. Post a video. Or just take a scramble from the Example Solve thread and type your solution.
Next, do you want a cube that is crispy or creamy? Crispy cubes usually sound louder and feel rougher, but can still be as smooth as a quiet, "frictionless" creamy cube. A great example of this is the dispute between the type A-V and the type F-II. Crispy vs. creamy. It's a personal choice, and choose that which you are comfortable with.
Next, don't be afraid or uselessly cheap and buy only one kind of cube. That's poppycock. Sometimes, you just need to risk it. It's not too huge of a deal/loss, anyway. It's not like buying stocks in 2007.

The main reason why I'm against buying the "greatest" cubes first is that I fear that the cubes will overpower the cuber. In other words, the reason why I originally didn't like the GuHong was because I couldn't look ahead on it--it was simply moving too fast for my eyes. As time progressed, I eventually came to using a GuHong with decent look-ahead and am (was) able to manage a 14 average.
If you're over 30 seconds, I suggest a type A-II. It's very crispy. It'll pop if it's loose. Personally, I'm a rough cuber, so the feel is great. I use an extremely tight A-II for BLD, just for safe-guarding pops (the reason being that I can pop just about any cube). It's great for developing look-ahead with a fast feel and swift triggers and all that fun stuff. =)
When you achieve faster times and you feel as if your cube is abnormally slow for your liking, upgrade.

tl;dr Don't buy the best cube first. Instead, invest in something that can help you develop essential techniques rather than focusing on pure speed.

I have tried a lubix elite and it is slower than a zhanchi. BTW, the elites are basically godly guhongs.

never said it was fast i said it was the best
it appears since they go for alot of money on ebay
he wants speed and GH springs give the GH speed so put them in what ever cube you want
mine are in my guhong
and next time pay attention to what they want
trying to sell someone a prius when they want a ferrari

GuHong is sensitive to lube. It becomes "gummy" and feels crappy with lube.
I recently bought a new white Guhong just to finish out the Dayan Collection and was blow away.
It's lighter and faster than MY Zhan Chi. I just bought a new Zhan Chi yesterday just to figure out if lube made it so slow. (wiping the lube out didn't fix it)

in general here is what I've found
GuHong = the lightest
Ling Yun = the fastest
LunHui= the crispiest
Zhanchi = the heaviest

Zhan Chi is very well rounded and would make the best beginner cube out all of them.

I'm pretty sure that the LunHui is about 10g heavier than the ZhanChi.

WOW, I too would recommend checking out this forum more closely, but I understand if you don't feel like it. First of all the lubix ultimate cubes are cubes that have been modded by Donovan from Lubix Cubes. His mods make the cube run smoother and quieter. Additionally the lube he uses of the cube is extremely long lasting and does not affect the cube in any negative ways unlike other lubes coughcouggh jigaloo. It is basically high verosity shock oil. So the regualr ones are just stock and his are modded. The mods he does are very simple and you could do them yourself, but if you have money and are lazy I would recommend them. Either way, the cubes are still made by Dayan, lubix just does aftermarket stuff. The lubix fusion is probably better than the regular guhong because it is basically unpopable. Finally, the names do mean things in chinese, but I don't remember them. All I know is that Guhong means lone goose, thats it.

Jig a loos pro... I've had no problems with it

Do you guys think a Lubix Zhanchi or Guhong will move faster than my ghost hand? Here's the ghost hand that I have http://bit.ly/qwIckK

I can GUARANTEE that a GuHong or ZhanChi will be faster than a Ghost Hand. I can't tell which Ghost Hand you have, though. If the edges have a sort of ribbed inside, then you have a Ghost Hand II.

However, if you get a DaYan cube, make sure to get some kind of lube with it. Lubix is expensive, so if you're not willing to spend that much on a lubricant, you could always get Shock Oil 50,000 wt, which is about the same. Maru lube is a great lube that is cheap, too. However, it dries out pretty fast, whereas lubix lasts months with only one lubrication.

My edges are ribbed, if you scroll down the page a little you can see some pictures of the core and edge pieces.
