What causes the squeaking noises in the Moyu Aoshi V4?

So I have an Aoshi V4 triple track and it just started making a weird squeaking noise when you turn one side slowly. It makes it wether you're turning 1, 2 or 3 layers. You can also feel a slight resistance as well. I've had the feeling before I set the cube up and with the previous version (the WRM) as well. It almost feels like its the spring but I don't believe it moves at all so i'm curious if anyone knows what causes this?

thanks for the info my 6x6 does this and i might now fix it, i kinda think that if i looked it up i wouldve found out how to fix this but then i didnt and then i forgot about it
