Hello,
I would like to state a problem that has been growing in this forum for the last year or so, and that is progression threads. While it does seem good at first to have progression threads, they have been crowding the forums and not many people would like to see that someone has just reached a 19 second average, or has just switched mains to the Gan 12.

My solution:

Just post your records and updates on your profile! Pretty simple, right? Also, if we do this, you can very easily see how someone has been doing just by searching up their name on the "Members" tab. There are some issues with my suggestion, such as people may want to just post a picture of their cat or say they just got Razer's new $500 keyboard, but hey, we can make it work.

Well, that's my two-cents, and use it as you wish.

(EDIT) If you gave a negative score reaction, please state why as I want to know why it could be a bad idea :)

I really like the idea of a having a thread of my progression as it helps me keep track of my improvement over time, and its really nice when if I am in a state where I am not getting better at an event, I could look at my progression thread and think "okay, maybe between yesterday and today I did not improve (or maybe got worse) but between now and last year, I have made so much progress". I also really like the idea of sharing this progress with others as they can motivate you when you are not improving, or they can congratulate you when you get a pb. I also like going to other people's progression's and seeing them break barriers that they really worked hard on breaking.

Another benefit of a progression thread is while there are other (maybe better) places to do this, progression threads are a fine tool to ask people for tips on how you can improve on events.

I don't really see a need to remove progression threads. If the spam of them is really that annoying, a solution that others have brought up could be to hide categories of threads you don't want to see as an individual level. (this could include progression threads) but removing them entirely does not make sense to me imo.
