What causes sticker bubbles?

A few months ago when I applied cubesmith stickers onto my F-ii, it got air bubbles all over. I applied the stickers very carefully, and tried not to make any bubbles, but it still happened.
Today I got another order of cubesmith stickers in, and I've been stickering some of my other cubes. I've had absolutely no problems with air bubbles this time, despite even being more careless with how I'm putting them on.

So I'm wondering if maybe the air bubbles are caused by either the stickers themselves, or by my cube? I would resticker my F-ii if I knew it would be bubble-free, but I don't want to just waste a new set of stickers when they might bubble up as well.

In my case there either Air bubbles which i proceed to push out my slding a credit card over them. Or there a small tihngs unter the sticker which i will peel back the sticker to the bubble and run a blade or credit card over the cube and sticker to get it out.

Air bubbles are caused by....air. They can appear even if you apply them very delicately. But no worries, they go off after you've cubed with it for a while.

Or you can use a needle to burst the air bubble but that would leave a black (or whatever colour your cube is) dot

I've had air bubbles in my F-ii for probably half a year now, and they are showing no signs of going anywhere :p Heck, I got SIX air bubbles on just one of the stickers
I was never able to use anything to press the bubbles out, either. Even when I tried reapplying the stickers when I was first putting them on.

They could be being caused by small specks of dirt. Try wiping the cubies with lint-free alcoholic wipes - the kind used to clean glasses.
