Now that I've bought a couple of cubes, I see that the colors on the stickers are not all created equal. For instance on some cubes, the difference between blue and green might not be huge, or yellow and white might be fairly similar.
Now I'm not trying to say that I'm blind or anything, but if you aren't cubing in great lighting, it can be possible to mistake one color for another if the contrast between the stickers isn't very good, or at least let it slow you down a bit.
Depending on the colors, you might have problems with:
Blue-Green
Red-Orange
White-Yellow

Now I think ideally, for each of these pairs, one color should be very bright, while the other is more dark. Can I get any stickers designed to help recognition like this?

Get the neon stickers from cube smith. You shouldn't have problems with color recognition. And if your using a white cube dont use black stickers, because the dark blue and black will look similar in bad light.

I'm testing bright blue with darker green now. I used to have it the other way around, bright green and dark blue, but then I realized bright green is somewhat close to yellow. Bright blue is not close to anything, and then neither is dark green.

I have huge problems with my Rubik's DIY, and often muddle up orange and green, but I know I'm colourblind for certain colours... But the fluorescent stuff from cubesmith looks obvious to me, and should help when I buy them next week :D
