What 4x4 should i get

I need some help on choosing a good 4x4. I have heard that QJ and Mefferts are good cubes but I'm not sure. Can someone help me choose a good cube? :confused::confused::confused:

Get a Ghosthand II/ShenShou. But don't lube it a lot, or else it'll turn to crap.

Just get the Dayan, but only if you're going to take the time to set it up properly and make it good. ( take fully apart, lube inside the inner 2x2 core, and adjust tensions ON THE 2x2 CORE. That is what makes it good. Not just lubing in between the pieces, like everyone that complains about the cube.

Get the shengshou if you prefer a clicky, light cube that will pop if not tensioned correctly.
Get a Maru if you like a sturdy, heavy, smooth cube that will never pop.

Personally I prefer the Maru.

The Dayan is very large and makes finger tricks hard if you have small hands. I recommend the X-Cube. It's worth the price but if you're going to drop the $40+ on it then just get it fully serviced, stickered, and broken in from izovire's shop puzzleaddictions.com. Currently pre-orders are closed and I'm not quite sure when they'll be available again but I plan on ordering another one when he starts to sell them again.


If you do decide to get the X-Cube then actually wait for it to come in at puzzle addictions. For the price you can ge it off of Lightake you can get your cube fully serviced.

That's pretty small. 3x3 = 5.7cm.
To be honest, I got good with a mini QJ and I prefer it over Maru.
Why? Maru is freaking LOUD.

But there is no "best" 4x4. mf8 + dayan, shengshou, mini QJ, maru, they are all great 4x4's. It's not like you can't get sub-1 with them.
