WCA World Championship 2023

Hi everyone! I know the world championships have been a little messed up due to COVID, but does anyone know when they might announce the dates for worlds? I am thinking about going next year. Also, do you have to qualify in events to compete or can anyone compete? Thank you!
I thought it was this year for the world champs because
the last one was in 2019 and the championships are every two years
so 2019+2years= 2021 but that was when lockdown happened so
surely 2021+2years= 2023 so this year it would happen.

the main reason why I would like to know when It's on is because
I would like to watch it on TV In staid of me going because me, sub 20
nahhh, not worth it for the championships.

Max Park will win a new main: Rubik's revenge maglev

Max is the only pro I'v ever seen, using a rubiks brand cube.

In his "most cubes (434) in 1 Hour" world record, he uses the "rubiks speed".

I guess he had to do something for his sponsor 😜
And if he wants to beat his own record again, he can just use a better cube 😆

I now will begin making world championship predictions. I will make a monthly prediction on this sheet: https://docs.google.com/.../1rKRsBpEZLaR.../edit...
In addition, as time progresses, I will be predicting more and more. For March I only made a podium prediction, but eventually I will predict records, finals, and more. From April to July, I will update it for my prediction on the first day of every month. However, that will not be the case in August. Once US Nationals ends, I will spend two weeks making not one, but THREE predictions: one that a computer code will generate (I'm going to need help with this), one that ChatGPT predicts (expect this to be awful), and the final one, the one that'll take the most work, I will be predicting every solve of every round at the competition, by hand, no matter how fast or how slow the person is, everything. (Super rough estimate of about 45,000 solves. On second thoughts, if I work 8 hours a day not including weekends, that's like 500 solves per hour, which doesn't even account for any of the big formatting burdens, so maybe I'll start before Nats.) Open the sheet to read more about it, but March's has been put on!

Too bad for everyone in the USA - South Korea time is 13 hours ahead, so they will have to watch during the night :(

Luckily I'm visiting another country so I can watch most of it :)
