What is the Best Unofficial Event? Should It Be In the Wca? Why?

Master Pyraminx.
Cons :
- not very good hardware (qiyi and moyu you brought magnetic void cubes and ftos make one of these but actually good bro)
Pros :
- can be used as a weapon
- Fun
- only basic pyraminx knowledge required to solve, everthing else is different.
- unlike the 2x2 pyraminx, not solved like its relative nxn cube (4x4)
- the enjoyment and hatred of non-cubers asking "is that a 10×10 triangle rubix cube ?"
(Its spelled like rubix cause welll non -cuber)
- not as scramble dependent (i think) as events such as 2x2, skewb, pyra and baby fto.

Tbh if better hardware is intorduced i am 90% sure it would be a wca event before 2030.
However I think FTO is gonna be the next event since it has everything needed to be a wca event (i think).

True, im planning on getting one, and i am aware there are is good hardware.
But tbh idrc which one makes it first, however i do agree with you on that it is a better contender.
My only problem with it is that it is quite scramble dependent from what i know.

I think it should be baby FTO, as it is a unique puzzle,

not as hard to learn and do well like the normal FTO,

and also a skewb mod. Baby FTO is also called the skewb diamond.

The event would be scramble dependent and a lot of one looking is possible, making it like 2x2 , pyraminx and skewb in the sprint event category.

As a 2x2 main (maybe former, but it remains my highest ranking event) adding another sprint event is definitely not needed, especially since the last added was a sprint event. It is actually way too scramble dependent. 2 movers are actually like pretty common, only 1.5 times rarer than 2x2 4 movers. I don’t think there is a need to add another sprint event (let alone add Skewb again but worse)

Relays should have been in WCA long ago, 2-4, or a medley event. I haven't found a good reason why they don't add it yet.

In relays longer events matter much more, for example Pyra barely matters in a Mini Guildford

Yeah, I don’t like how unproportionate it can be for some events in the relay. I think a good relay has roughly equal skill needed for each puzzle, so that you can’t just be good at one of the puzzles and then just be good (or at least not terrible) at the relay as a whole. The most popular relays (mini guildford or 2-7) don’t accomplish this tho
