it took a team of 3 people, a year of part-time work, and we've been hosting contests for over a year now

we have:
- weekly contests in 3x3, 2x2, 4x4
- 10 weekly participants on average (so far)
- global leaderboards by single/average
- replays with a solve breakdown (a mind blowing 04.47 here: https://vscubing.com/contests/19/watch/976?discipline=3by3)
- simulator with the same feeling as cstimer
- a WCA integration
- configurable colorscheme and turning speed

let us know here or on our discord server if you encounter any issues or have any feature suggestions

Hey, is there any way to do standalone virtual cube solves on this site, without it being part of a contest?

Not at the moment, but I’m considering working on it. Is there something specific you would like it to have? In other words, is cstimer’s virtual mode missing something in your opinion, that we could implement to stand out?

I would like an algorithm trainer, for learning PLL, OLL, and maybe even ZB. And also the ability to just play around with the cube outside of a solve. Was it very difficult to create this by the way? I am currently learning software development and I'm daunted by these types of projects, seems like a huge amount of work

The very first usable version with quite a rudimentary design and a minimal feature set (screenshot attached) took us a few weeks (looking back, we should've released it in this state, maybe with a little polishing), but after that it was a lot of back and forth in communication with our incredible designer to create a professional design, and the implementation took much longer than I had anticipated. But my fellow co-founder and I for sure learned a great deal out of it

Re: algorithm trainer, practice dojo
I'm planning to release a few low effort (i.e. semi-vibecoded) experimental features (meaning they might not be perfect but should still be usable), and both of your suggestions might become a part of that, thank you for your input!

This is good inspiration for me, thanks
