i was cleaning some vaseline out of my cube and put it in a strainer in my bathroom sink and now i understand why mmap suggests to clean cubes in a kitchen sink with a plug and not a bathroom. one of the small inner layer pieces stuck to my finger because the vaseline is sticky and fell out of the strainer. i got lucky and it got caught in between the plug and the pipe so i turned off the water and got the pliers on my multi tool to try and grab it with a minimal chance of pushing it in. guess what happened? i pushed it in. i ended up taking apart the plumbing in my parents house to get to this piece that could mean the difference between 3 hours of making a substitute piece (or $35 for a new cube) and saving my cube. but in the end i managed to take apart the plug mechanism and open up the pipe to get it out. NONE of you have ANY idea the kind of crap that can get stuck in a pipe like that (and stay there for multiple years).

Guess we should have an Extraodinary Cubing Incidents Thread. The hooked part of the center pieces could have got caught in the hole of the sink, making pushing left or right impossible to dislodge it. Just so you know this happened to many others as well.

When I lost an internal piece from my V6 down the drain I e-mailed V-cubes about it and they sent me out replacement pieces :D <3
