Yeah, the patent application was granted in Nov 2021.
Does it take over 2 years to go from patent to production?

Tied to QiYi, because if you search further for the 2 inventors listed, you find other patents applied for by them and assigned to QiYi. Hence, the assumption they work for QiYi.

Maybe, but this patent is not assigned to QiYi...
And patent existence does not mean that it will be ever produced. Any clue that it is going to production exactly now? Actually current fashion in high-order cubes is ball-core, and it is much more reasonable since you can offload magnet attraction between layers to the ballcore.

For whatever reason, the 13x13 was a huge nun no in price from the 12x12. On Cubezz, it's twice the price of the 12x12. Which is why I haven't ordered one yet.
