Upcoming puzzles

It depends where the puzzles are made. To me the Rubik’s Brand, Meffert’s puzzle, Calvin’s puzzle and V-cube are more expensive, but sometimes I just don’t mind paying slightly more especially for their design, especially for non-wca puzzles.

But for wca puzzles, as these are essentially designed and manufactured in Asia, of course some cubers will have to pay more for the same puzzle, just that the price gap is pretty insane
Because no one asked and the way you provide them is terrible.

If you wanna provide them just say the wholesale price is Xyz$.

Not that whole “why is it $57 when I can get it here for $0.3 cause I’m friends with the factory owner” entitled attitude you carry with it. Go make a cube pricing thread if you’re so hellbent about it.
Sorry for destroying the price discrimination set by retailers outside Asia,
And actually I’m quite busy in June handling with the external financial audit for a company listing in Singapore where I usually just directly post new cube releases info that I got from the informants,
And I would also like to mention that the exchange rates of onshore/offshore RMB are different, in other words CNY/CNH.
This is very different from HKD as HKD has been linked to USD for years already. In other words I get cubes at good prices but at bad rates

SUPER RS3M V2 is on TC and SCS
and waaay over-priced (ب_ب) $48 USD for the Ball-core variant

why on earth would the RS3M v2 BC cost anywhere near as much as the Weilong v9 BC?
and worse, every version actually costs MORE 🤬
(cue the Dragnet music here➡️dumb dumb DUMB dumb)

TheCubicle released an unboxing YT video of all three versions, and in the description they give links to each cube with pricing on their site...

Good question, this is not the easiest to answer, will get back to you once my client’s audit report is out for listing purpose on Singapore SGX next week

But I can tell you that the Super RS3M V2 kinda feel similar to the GTS3

Wholesale available to retailers tmr.
Closer to YS3M pricing rather than Super RS3M V1 pricing, maybe because of the coating but still slightly cheaper than the YS3M.
(Not gonna disclose the actual wholesale prices here as seems more of you guys are happy with paying like double or triple for the same puzzle deceiving yourself that the actual cost should be somewhat close)

they're more expensive than the WRM V9's?!? ... I don't understand the world anymore.

Why choose an RS3M instead of a WRM? Why is the budget cube more expensive?

They're competing with themselves, with UV coated cubes that look identical?

How very weird.

Why play dumb? Or, better yet, how much do YOU think the puzzle should cost in the US?

I recommend the retailers not to set their net profit margin over 0.5.

Such pricing is not recommended, at least it doesn’t really make sense to me at all knowing the actual COGS behind. I mean like pricing cubes too expensive will make less people buy cubes from them and make them less money overall.

In other words if a Yuxin Teraminx cost $25 or even less to the retailers, they shouldn’t sell the exact same thing for over $50, or maybe like $60 even if sundries are included.

Actually I get info over the wholesale price together with these details of the new cube releases at the same time,

Maybe next time I will just blur the wholesale price tags or maybe even just post in thumbnails

Another new moyu 3x3 release coming in July,

Not gonna explain on the features of the cube, but I can tell that it will be my new main as I have tried one at comp in May
Nice to know. I will definitely hold off buying any Moyu cube until July.
Guys let’s just wait for that

Summary of all the info on this Super V2 so far:

- Lighter than V1
- UV coating
- No-texture capped pieces
- Crazy fast turning
- Magnetised box
- Coloured internals

Looking at this list, I scratch my head and wonder how much real improvement in performance, or in usage (like adjustments) there is for the extra money you need to pay to get this V2. It does not seem particularly quiet or smooth either, or enjoyable, from early reviews. Wouldn't a YS3M, or a Tornado, which have more proven performance, make more sense? 🤔

The RS3M v2 reminds me of the v1 with its light turning. I tried the BC version and I have to say it’s a very nice turning cube. It feels like what the WRM v9 should’ve been. I don’t know what MoYu was thinking releasing so many 3x3s, but they need to really think about the naming and release scheme for these puzzles.
