I know the CEO of PiCube in person and I have met him in Hong Kong several times this year already, as the mainland government had decided to revise their strict pandemic policies around half year ago after vigorous protests against its lockdown policies in different cities in mainland.

I also know some cubers who live near the cube factories in ChengHai district of ShanTou city in GuangDong Province, and those wholesale price tags are different from the selling prices (like the regular selling price of the yuxin teraminx is $30 out there, but actually its $25 for wholesale)

And none of us care. Again this is not a place to discuss the prices of cubes when not everyone lives over by the factory.

I get that this thread is about upcoming puzzles, but if he can give us a price point, we can estimate what the cost will be somewhere else
I don't necessarily mind the price talk, but the argument is kind of getting annoying.

Closer to YS3M pricing rather than Super RS3M V1 pricing, maybe because of the coating but still slightly cheaper than the YS3M.
(Not gonna disclose the actual wholesale prices here as seems more of you guys are happy with paying like double or triple for the same puzzle deceiving yourself that the actual cost should be somewhat close)

Hey, everybody cool it. I can handle the truth about injustice, discrimination, and even worse things, ridiculous things, happening around the world now. It's better not to punish ourselves even more by getting unhappy about cubing. It's OK.

It depends where the puzzles are made. To me the Rubik’s Brand, Meffert’s puzzle, Calvin’s puzzle and V-cube are more expensive, but sometimes I just don’t mind paying slightly more especially for their design, especially for non-wca puzzles.

But for wca puzzles, as these are essentially designed and manufactured in Asia, of course some cubers will have to pay more for the same puzzle, just that the price gap is pretty insane

Actually I get info over the wholesale price together with these details of the new cube releases at the same time,

Got this info from a cube retailer, the MoYu WeiLong WRM v9 will come in 3 versions, including magnetic, maglev & UV ball-core (which means no regular ball-core). The UV ball-core MoYu WeiLong WRM v9 is $38 here, which is even more expensive than the UV GAN 12 Maglev.

Maybe next time I will just blur the wholesale price tags or maybe even just post in thumbnails

you’re missing the point. It’s not just the puzzle they pay for. It’s the convenience of buying from a store in the same country and getting it quicker. And possibly supporting a specific business

If so what’s the point of complaining about the wholesale price here, if you want a bargain from the retailers you can just text their staff and negotiate for a better price

If you wanna provide them just say the wholesale price is Xyz$.

Not that whole “why is it $57 when I can get it here for $0.3 cause I’m friends with the factory owner” entitled attitude you carry with it. Go make a cube pricing thread if you’re so hellbent about it.

Not gonna explain on the features of the cube, but I can tell that it will be my new main as I have tried one at comp in May
