The special Southern Cross edition V100 here, unboxed by Feliks.
Green internals! I'm glad it's a different green, duller and darker, than the green colour of the pieces. I hope Gan learned the lesson and will avoid using the same colour as the pieces, esp if it's a bright one, for internals

I myself think dark purple is best for internal colour. Like in the Weilong Maglev (2021, I think).I actually don't like that internal color... idk, it, it just looks wrong.

Why will the naming scheme be v200 ?
20-magnet core. 70g. This is apparently still a prototype but very close to the final production version.
My question is - will there be a V200? With similar design but smaller, lighter, and more reasonably priced?
Just guessing. After V100, isn't V200 the logical name for the next 55mm value model with "Magdrive"? Calling it a V100 Max is not right, given the significant differences. What do you think? Why will the naming scheme be v200 ?
How would fast cubes be impractical?are endlessly faster cubes even a good thing - surely there's just gonna come a point where gan's cubes are so fast that they're impractical
I do not see massive innovations in the Gan 17 compared to the previous Gan 3x3s yo.im excited for gan 17![]()
I guess, and I get that the human limit keeps getting redefined, but surely they will eventually just stop being "fast" and become uncontrollable? How would fast cubes be impractical?
There will always be a wonder kid who can get a higher TPS on a faster cube and continue breaking records yo.
The cube will be uncontrollable for amateurs and they would avoid buying it.I guess, and I get that the human limit keeps getting redefined, but surely they will eventually just stop being "fast" and become uncontrollable?
I would think so, here’s a screenshot of part of an email I got from GAN right around new years hinting towards their 2026 cubes:Just guessing.
