Unknown/new puzzle: Brainstring

Some Dutch guy has created a cube-shaped puzzle with elastic bands in it.

What do you think? Better or worse than the Revolution? Interesting enough to buy?

How is this "new"? And the Revolution isn't even a puzzle so it's hard to compare these two.

I must say though, it looks pretty easy to me.

I think it looks awesome. And as far as it being cooler than the Revolution, I don't think you can even scramble the Revolution, and that takes away everything that is so cool about the cube.

About the "new" part: I have never seen it before, not even in Jaaps collection (I mailed him about it today). But it is actually from 2003

I will probably end up buying one pretty soon and will let you know how I feel about it. If anyone has any idea how to get one, please let me know. I have tried to send mail (404) and order 1 (1000 minimum) sofar.

I have one!
You can order it from megagadgets.nl, at least I got it from there. The puzzle is quite easy (level of effort comparable to Peters Black Hole). But it`s hard to scramble it because the bands have to be completely stretched (from 1 side to the other side) for the buttons on the bands to stay in place.
I think it was worth my money just because it`s another expension of my nerdiness .

Looks cool. There are tons of puzzles out there, it is just a question of finding them.

Jaap DOES have one. He just didn't put it on his site because he couldn't find a way to explain it. I asked him to bring it with him to the German Open. Hopefully he will.
