Hi guys.
-By the way, Noahaha, have you completed your Perplexes Epic?

I was waiting for someone to ask lol.

Not yet. I haven't touched it in a while. I've completed the original though.

You need to work on your TPS. Maybe loosen your cube a little. It's not hard to have no pauses during centers. Proabably at this point you just need to practice and find new little tricks that will help you.

I have 2 filmed averages of 5
This one was taken in March.
14.38
15.39
13.38
(12.84)
(16.14)
Avg= 14.38
This one was taken today
17.47
15.15
14.61
16.18
16.36
=15.90 second avg of 5

I haven't really taken a break from cubing, but for some reason this week I have slowed down significantly. I have a competition tomorrow so I was practicing but I am not consistently getting sub 15 avgs like I used to. I was wondering if someone could tell me what I really need to work one, even though I need work all around.
Also in the second video I used 2 cubes for the avg. Which do you think suits my style better? The bright sticker cube is a Zhanchi and the standard sticker cube is a Guhong V2.
Also sorry for the blurryness of the second video. My iphone is kinda messed up.

Well, your cross speed seems to have significantly slowed, as well as your lookahead. You turn slower and use more hesitations during F2L than you used to. Your LL seems to still be on par with what you used to, so it's definitely your F2L slowing you down. Work on gaining back that lookahead so that you can increase your TPS. Work on speeding up the execution on those crosses as well.

Turn faster.

But really, your transition from FB to SB was great. If you start turning faster AND maintain that kind of lookahead you'll increase in speed. Also, for LSE, turn faster too. That's always my advice for people with LSE trouble, just turn faster. It's not that hard to average sub4 LSE during normal solves.

I locked up because I started turning too quickly. And got lost on the last step of LSE for the same reason >.>

I have LSE ao12. For some reason I had a "Low Light Boost" option checked on my recording software that made all the colors duller shades than they are for real.

Special thanks to Panda Cuber.

Also, I hope you can see what I'm doing. I think my cube goes a little off screen but not much.

Thanks!

Using the tips everyone gave me, I have cut my times alot.

After 2 weeks, my 3x3 PB has gone from 43 seconds, to about 27 seconds.
my 4x4 PB has gone from ~4:00 to 2:28. (EDIT: Just got 2:23)

Thanks to everyone who has replied to my posts and helped me improve.

Firstly, yes i use hand scrambles. I'm lazy and i hate doing scrambles. I never intend to enter any comp's so i would rather just enjoy my cubing thank you very much! Same goes for starting with the cube in my hand. Also, sorry about the camera and the angle. I'm so close to sub 20, i just need a nudge in the right direction. Also, i don't know what that stain is on my shirt.

Adv of 5 20.32

1: 00:20.70
2: 00:21.98
3: 00:20.42
4: 00:19.18
5: 00:19.32

What I can see in your solves is that for the 3rd or 2nd F2L pair you appear to have to look around the cube, that 1-1.5 second (or 2 I don't know) could be costing you from getting consistant sub-20.
So yeah, work on your look ahead and remove that looking around from your F2L.
Also for the OLLs you might want to learn at least a few of the basic ones from various angles
(1. It'll improve both of your hands dexterity and speed
2. You wont have to do a U', U, or U2, though a U2 is really what should be avoided.)

Not much, and hopefully other people will give better advice,
but I notice at either the cross or first F2L pair you seem to be going slow, you have good flow but you might desire to attempt to keep that flow but at a faster pace.
Besides that your overall speed is good, and I guess my last piece of advice is to try and see the OLL during your final F2L pair (Since your OLL -> PLL seems good I wont say anything on that).

you should use a grip that will allow you to do U with left hand, and you can learn to M(not M') by pushing on the DB sticker with the ring, and M2' with pinky ring, and the middle is on the BR sticker, thubm on FR sticker. Slow and smooth does the job, go slower, lookahead. Learn better algs for some cases(faster, more M')

Its quite easy to get sub5, do avg of 100 or so, sever times.

Lately I was more interested in language learning, so there's some regress. But there finally are some competitions close enough for me to attend, so I started practicing more again.
So... what should I work on (the most).

Cheers, i have just started to slow down again, and my times are improving. I also notice i do loads of cube rotations, and i am trying to cut them out by doing d and d' instead.

You seem to start the timer, and then very slowly pick the cube up. Probably half a second right there.
