Okay so i recently got the MF3RS. I know its a budget cube but the mechanism is really good and its okayish performance is not making sense to me. My friend swapped the spring and washers with that of a GTS and it made his MF3RS his instant main. Well has anyone tried any spring swaps with this cube?

I know this is a bit of an older thread but I saw this and decided what the heck.... I'm bored. I swapped the springs with the GTS and the MF3RS and I must say I am very impressed. the MF3RS became so much better. The corner cutting improved in both directions and is still very stable.

The GTS became easier to control and a bit sluggish till I wiped some of the lube out... now it is really fast again but it doesn't get away from me with my rougher turning style. It became easier to take an edge piece out but I really put it through its paces trying to make it pop during a solve and it doesn't want to.

End result ( for me anyway ) I'm leaving them like this for sure
