The Most Overated/Underated Country in Cubing

There are two ways of looking at this: you can look for countries with a few top cubers who are really good but not very well known as they are not quite the very best and don't have much content for an online audience.
But you can also look at the depth of cubing talent, the number of people who are nearish to the top compared to their population, I'm pretty sure New Zealand still has the highest proportion of the total population having a sub-10 3x3 average.

I think one of the most underated countries has to be New Zealand, with only 5.1 million people living there, they have some really competitive times and many OcRs.
Glad to hear that you think this!

I believe that this is true.
At Oceanics 2022, I think New Zealanders collected around one-third of all the podium spots. With already well-established cubers like Dwyane Ramos, Elyas Eyou (@ElyasCubing) , Jasper Murray (former pyraminx WR average holder), Alexander Vujcich (who placed 3rd in Megaminx at Worlds 2023) and Tom Nelson (@CyanSandwich, who won 5bld at Worlds 2017!) and James Macdiarmid (@TheSixthSide, current multiblind OcR holder), we can (and do) perform respectably on the world stage.
We've also got a ton of up-and-coming talent.

All, in all, my patriotism is firing.
India is underrated.
In 2x2, we got Ram, who’s amazing.
I agree with this too. Ram's a great guy; both in a cubing sense (damn, he's fast), but he's also a super nice guy in general.

i think the Philippines is kind of underrated because
We have THREE of the best Roux solvers in the world AND the WR holder for Roux.
We have 3 of the best OH solvers in the world
WR11 3x3 Single and WR10 3x3 average
Lots of up and coming cubers

edit: we are kinda weak at other events like big cubes and side events (our top 3x3 blder is good when he doesn't dnf)
