The Future of WCA Events

what do you guys think of mega fmc?
Mega FMC would suffer from notation hell
I have UWR for this meme event, for some reason.

It's a silly idea, don't do it. It also absolutely would not make any sense whatsoever as an official event, or even as an unofficial event to hold at a competition (the way that e.g. teamblind or FTO etc. are held currently).

Notation is annoying, but mainly for whoever is checking the solution. For now we can kind of standardise on following whatever Twizzle uses, but that isn't set in stone and might change in the future.

Are there methods like 3x3 FMC methods that help with this event, or is it vastly different?

What if there was an event called "mimic"? It's like where you solve a 4x4 like a 2x2, but if you mess up the layout of a 2x2, you DNF.
This could also apply to other cubes like 3x3 as 6x6, 2x2 as 6x6, etc.
this is a fun event to practice unnoficially but I don't see why WCA would insert it into official comps, really

How would that work?
like, one person holds one side of the clock with their left hand and another holds the other with their right. they work together to solve the clock. when they are done, they both have to hit the stackmat at the same time. I was thinking that before the competition, when you register, you would choose the event team clock. Than, at the competition, you would go up with another competitor to the waiting area.
