I personally disagree. If you go to worlds 2025 and win clock, that’s awesome, but most will forget you even won that. But if you win 3x3 you’re basically one of the best, and everyone will remember that you won Worlds 2025. Even Feliks said something along the lines of “You can do terribly in every other event, but if you win 3x3, that’s all that matters”.

I’m not saying that everyone who doesn’t love 3x3 is wrong, but in my opinion 3x3 is the default “best” event.

I guess it depends on the person. I do agree though that some events don’t get talked about enough.

My personal favorite event is Pyraminx, I really like the combination of block building & TPS spam (& one-looking on easy scrambles), I also really like Clock for its intuitive solve and 7-Simul is really fun (even if I'm really bad at it) & this last thing is a bit basic but I'm a big fan of 3x3.
