3x3 is overated its not that good

I personally disagree. If you go to worlds 2025 and win clock, that’s awesome, but most will forget you even won that. But if you win 3x3 you’re basically one of the best, and everyone will remember that you won Worlds 2025. Even Feliks said something along the lines of “You can do terribly in every other event, but if you win 3x3, that’s all that matters”.

I’m not saying that everyone who doesn’t love 3x3 is wrong, but in my opinion 3x3 is the default “best” event.

I only have 4x4, but I personally am not going to buy a bigger cube anytime soon, as they don’t appeal to me that much (although that might change if I ever get a bigger cube). If I buy a 5x5 it will be after I am sub-40 or so on 4x4.

I used to say that 5x5 was my favorite event but I practice so many events now that I don't even know what's my favorite. I just love cubing in general I guess.

What I mean is, if you average sub-8 on 3x3 and try 4x4 for the first time, you’re going to be better than a guy who averages 30 on 3x3 and has been doing 4x4 for a couple of weeks/months.

Not true, there are plenty of people who just have natural talent at basketball. (Although admittedly, only a few).
