The 3x3x3 Example Solve Thread

I see what you did there, but a nice thing to do in a speedsolve is RUR'U2RUR' :)

True that, but I saw the CE pair and made a square while inserting the last F2L pair.
Really, I should've gone for the other pair, as it was already setup to insert.

You had the edges solved here, so you could use a corner cycle.
The one you had here is basically a 'free' algorithm, as it's very similar to an A perm, just with double turns.

Lulzy 10.19 Petrus solution. I'm failing today so it could have been much, much faster, but probably one of the luckiest solutions I've ever seen. anyway scramble is

L2 D' B2 D' B2 U R2 U L2 U F U B' F2 R2 L' D2 L2 D L' U2

2x2x3 minus one edge
- y' x R' U R2 L' U

Insert last edge- z2 x' L2 R' F' R

EO- y' R U R' F L' U L

5 MOVE STEP 4- y' R' U R U' R'

OLL + PLL SKIP- U' (Sune) U'

ROFL 30* moves. Wow I'm kind of angry at myself now. That should be easily sub 8.

Edit: sub 6ing this solution

You've gotta count sune's moves! So, 30 HTM or 29 without the double AUF. Insanely good for a speed solve.

As my daughter would solve it( before she quit cubing at 5 years old):
Solve with white cross on bottom, I used FMC notation hence the abunance of D (= top layer) moves.
Offcourse there would be some cube rotations to make the alg either LU or RU style

D B2 F L D R2 cross
R D R' corner
L D L' corner
D' R' D2 R D R' D' R corner
D B D' B'D' L' D L edge
D' R' D R D F D' F' edge
D' F' D F DL D' L' edge
D' B' D B D R D' R' edge
R F D F' D' R' edge orientation
D2 AUF to check Corner Permutation = OK (otherwise swap corners with Niklas)
L D L' D L D2 L' sune
D2 set up
L D L' D L D2 L' sune
D2 skip PLL (otherwise EP via either Ua or Ub perm)

75 HTM
Method: LBL with LL mix of Badmephisto, Jasmine Lee and both LU and RU U perms.
