I previously wrote a whole review, before seeing that the RS3M V5 is out. After trying that, i can confirm that the V5 is slightly worse, but for the price the Super V2 is no longer worth it. This is a shortened version.

The Super V2 is an amazing cube. Perfect speed out of the box - no adjustment needed.

UV coating on every version, although i did get the Ball Core. It is pretty lightweight, and it features the same old dual adjustment system that they have been using (But not for long!!).

I prefer the feeling of this cube to the Weilong V9, as it is a mix of the RS3M and the V9. What i love about this cube's design is that there are no fancy grooves, as i find they hinder the cubes feeling.

Note: on the BC version ONLY, they have grooves on the edge pieces, which i don't mind.

This cube has the perfect mix of snappy and blocky, and before the RSV5 came out i would definitely reccomend.

The Problems.

I don't know if this was just my batch but i have a real problem with the piece caps on this cube. If I turn violently or drop the cube on the table after a solve, sometimes caps come out. And it's quite frequent.

The other obvious problem is that this cube is now beaten out by the Guhong Pro M ( Thanks @Dan the Beginner for the great review), and the RS3M V5.

Conclusion:

This cube is amazing, but sadly Moyu made a horrible decision releasing it at the pricepoint they did ( £27 Pounds), and i would now reccomend getting the aforementioned cubes instead. Moyu needs to have a serious think about what they are doing when they release a new cube.

Or maybe, just don't release new cubes.

Side note:

I did notice that this cube was 45 USD, which translates to 36 pounds, whereas in the UK we had it for 27 pounds, so not as many in the US bought it.

good review! I prob won't be buying one but I might try to trade for one during a comp.

Just got my hands on the V5 yesterday, and I like it more than my main the PiCube V9. It feels stable and smooth like the YS3M, and corner cuts as good as the V9. YS3M and SRS V2 has corner cutting just on par with the meilong 3C, which isn’t the best.
Here's how I would rank these: V9 = V5 > YS3M > SRS V2.

Honestly the SRS V2 is noticeably worse than any of the other moyu cubes mentioned due to its problematic corner cutting, but the YS3M isn’t that much better tbh. I think the PiCube V9 is a lot better than the Super V2 and the YS3M, but there’s a problem of being too flexible, to a point where it does occasionally corner twist. My v9 is already on a pretty tight tension but it still happens to me sometimes. V5 on the other hand feels like an YS3M with the corner cutting issue fixed, or in other words a more stable and less wobbly v9. My V5 will arrive tmr, and I am seeing an high chance that I’m gonna switch to it from my picube v9.

In my experience the SRS V2 cuts better than the YS3M. A bit of lube and tensioning can change a lot, it's not always about whats in the box. Thanks for tour comments , though.

Thanks for your review. It is very important to have user review and especially comments about negatives they encountered.

Regarding Moyu, it seems they have different management with different ideas about their products, and they not only confuse us, but also themselves. They are not consistent even in naming their cubes. BTW, I think the Super YS3M must be just about ready to be announced, or it is going to be called the YS3M 2024, or YS3M V2?
