im averaging 32-33 seconds every time and feel like ive hit my limit on how fast i can solve the 3x3
my f2l is terrible 20-25 seconds including cross (i can do cross in 3-4 seconds no problem)
2 look oll and full pll take me 10 seconds
i can look ahead but the biggest problem is finding the f2l pairs. for instance i may find an f2l and while im solving the pair im tryin to look for other pairs.. but their just isnt anything obvious.
and also another problem is finding the first f2l pair to do, i waste about 3-5 seconds finding my first f2l pair.
another thing is g perms i can do them fine but because their is 4 differnt ones i find it hard to find which g-perm i need to do that also slows me down.
if anyone could offer advice i would be grateful

theres a video on my youtube which is recent... quailty isnt great though so you cant see my problems

edit:
my username isnt anything to do with my solves either .....

You can't find the next F2L pairs? You're going too fast. Watch my tutorial (6:16) again, and follow Dan Knight's advice. Do that excercise to help get your F2L better. I think it'll help you a lot.

Ok, I've watched your average video, and your problems are pretty obvious. Yes, you're right, your cross isn't that bad and your last layer is decent too.

So in my video I showed a video with a fast solve with little look ahead (3.55). That's basically what your solve looks like, except even worse. Just compare your video to that solve and you'll see the major problems in your F2L. In between pairs you stop like 2-3 seconds and you stop like 3 times so it really slows down your times. Practice what I said before, the Dan Knights excercise and turn really slow.

After you practice the Dan Knights excercise thingy, don't worry about your times. Just turn REALLY slow and look ahead. Don't worry about your times at all. Just do that for all your solves for like 3 days. Do a lot of VERY slow solves. Then start to use the metronome to pick up your speed. This practice should go over at least a week, depending on how much you practice. When you do all that turning really slowly, do not care about your times at all. Do not time yourself. After you finish practicing for like a week or two, your turning speed should be decent because of the metronome and you should have good look ahead. When you time yourself you should be faster.

I also sometimes have problem finding pairs. My problem is when there is a piece at the bottom corner, those are problematic.

my average was 32 seconds bout 3 weeks ago,but then i got my first Diy and started using it a lot and practicing metronome. Now my average is 26.xx-27.xx seconds. When i get to the F2L part,i pause for about 2 seconds and examine where F2L peices are(i look for about the 2 easiest pairs)And while solving the two pairs i can easily see the next two one by one.F2L is just based on lookahead and consistency.

i give up with "looking ahead" i simply cant do it no matter how slow i go

You REAAAAALLLLY have to try hard at it. Something i occasionally use is find a corner edge pair, insert it, and while doing that look for another f2l edge. I put my finger on it, and look for the corner while inserting the edge. Then i have the corner, and my finger marks where the next edge is.

It works sometimes.

ok its been about a week since i posted this.... and all i can say is ive practiced my ballz off and guess what.......... nothing ..... absolutley nothing
cant get times lower
still cant find pieces
im turning slow
and nothing
ive done everything and have been averaging 32 seconds for months its impossible for me to improve

You will only improve if you actually bother to put the effort in for it. Just solving cubes over and over again isn't gonna help you get around your look ahead problems.

Seriously dude I was averaging 35 seconds for like 2 weeks and didn't understand and now about a month later I average about 28 cos I've worked fully on my lookahead. Metronome solving is great and just turn slower in your actual solves. It helps!!

Then stop cubing. Seriously, take a brake, don't do any cubing for an amount of time.

Thats like saying stop practicing, but maybe taking a break will help because when you start cubing again. You'll feel more refreshed?

i am also in the 30+ range, and it is hard to get the time down. but one time i took a break for a week, but still thought about the c-f2l because that was my hardest part of the cube. when i came back i dropped about 5 seconds on average and i got my first sub 30 time, 28.94. it is possible to get faster, just let your sub conscious mind do the work for you.
