Speedstacks timer has seizures with CCT

I have the official two-gen speedstacks timer, and CCT, and when I plug them in with the 2.5-3.5mm converter and 3.5mm cord into the computer, it doesn't work. When I try to place my hands on the timer and start it, the sensors act sporadically, and I can't get it to sense my hands long enough for the timer to start (When it does, it gives my 0.02 seconds automatically). The only way it starts, is if I set the sampling rate to 100 or below (which, ofcourse, doesn't record them into CCT)

Also, sometimes, it will give me multiple times per second (like random, from 0.02 seconds to 15 minutes). I have played with the two number controls, but nothing comes close to working. I use vista, but CCT has always worked fine on this laptop. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but that didn't help. My microphone is working fine, and the only problem is that the sensors do not work right at all
