For the best skewb, I would say it is the E-Skewb that I posted on TP forum. It turns like a Zhanchi, and I have never had it pop. My PB: 8.4 sec.

Hey guys, so I was doing a solve (sorry I lost the scramble..... long story) and I ran into the following case. Please watch the video as it shows the case.
Also, theres a blackout at 0:43, but it is just the alg execution.
Pros, please help! I also have absolutely no idea how to recog any of the L5C cases with D in them, so if someone made a video showing just the case, the new alg in RBLU and the execution, it would be amazing.
<video>
Thanks in advance
Did you notice that the two sides you recognized with (opposite/top, black/green) were the sides solved after the execution? This is because you cant do two side recognition without it being ambiguous. You must recognize with 3 sides, I personally look at how many opposite colors there are, two is x, none is swirl, and one is, what you have, Wat! This case was Wat-b.
Anyone else uses a *cough* table abuse while doing some algorithms?
First WR of 2014 (not counting the silly skewb ones)!
How fast do they have to be to not be silly?
Wrong question. How many people have competed in the event. Once this number gets closer to other side events, I'm pretty sure we won't call the WR's silly anymore![]()
Had Ranzha been at the first skewb comp and gotten a 5-6 second average right away, I'm not sure many people would consider it a silly WR even with the tiny number of overall competitors.
I suppose, but you catch my general drift don't you?
Sure I do, and your view is probably shared by quite a few people; I just personally don't. For me, it's the speed itself that leads me to view those WR's as silly.

I would agree with that. I think overall we're saying skewb WR's are dumb because there are people that average so much faster.
She has already answered this on the same thread. Splits for a 10 second solve; Quoting:What are the average time splits for Sarah's method? (Beginner variation)
2. 3-4 for first layer and 6-7 for the rest, for an average solve, I think.
