Should I switch to Roux?

i think you shouldnt, cfop is easier to improve at because of all the resources. whereas roux is a little harder to find tutorials on. i switched to roux when i was sub 25 but then i switched back because it was to hard...

mabye im just lazy.

Same, I learned roux in a day and got sub-40 with it the next day. HOwever, my blockbuilding was terrible and I was doing my blocks in a f2l-ish way. And the good tutorials for roux blocks were kind of hard, and I was lazy.

Choosing Roux turned out to be a great cubing decision for me. I started only a couple of years after Gilles Roux first posted his method. At that time it was only me, Kirjava, and a couple of other people using Roux. So resources were scarce. The only one was Gilles' website. While an amazing site, it still required a lot of figuring things out on my own. That self reliance helped me to gain an understanding of blockbuilding and other concepts of the cube. I don't think I would have gained that so easily with CFOP.

There are valid arguments from all sides. Do what you enjoy and you'll find your way.

Switching to Roux is always the right choice
I mean not always but ok.

you are right. Idk WHY people say that roux is not as good as CFOP. They are basically the same speed.
