Hi everyone!

I'm getting ready to launch a new cubing trainer app called "Vertex: Cube Trainer", and I'm looking for beta testers and feedback from the community. My goal is to build a full-featured app for those who are working on improving their 3x3 solve times so you can train on the go, with or without your cube. It's mostly geared toward CFOP right now.

TestFlight link for Vertex: https://testflight.apple.com/join/FJj3j9gU

Features:
  • Random-state scrambler with session history stats, inspection time, and +2/DNF support
  • Cross/XCross within N moves to train cross identification
  • PLL/ZBLL recognition with "quiz mode", OLL/PLL/ZBLL flash cards
  • Scrambles to generate selected OLL / PLL / ZBLL cases
  • Ability to input your own algorithms
Differentiators:
  • Lead-in to next section -- get a scramble that allows you to complete F2L or OLL with a guaranteed next OLL or PLL respectively (uses your selected OLL/PLL cases).
  • Spaced repetition system for recognition, flash cards, and LL scrambles.
  • Works across iPhone, iPad, and Mac OS, keeping sessions sync'ed across all devices.
Let me know what you think or if you have suggestions on what might be even more helpful. Thanks!

Hello! I just wanted to share a quick update on Vertex since my original post:

New features for all solvers:
  • Universal purchase: one purchase works on iPhone, iPad, and macOS
  • Spaced Repetition system, showing more difficult cases more frequently
  • Random-state scrambles for 2x2,4x4, and square one. Random-moves support for 5x5
  • COLL and basic + some advanced F2L cases
  • Inspection timer with announcer at 12 seconds and 8 seconds.
  • Manual phased timer via multi-tap (to keep track of cross/f2l/oll/pll for example)
  • Metronome for TPS practice
Added bluetooth support for GoCube Edge, BT features include:
  • Detailed move-tracking, per-phase timing, and per-case tracking for OLL/PLL/etc.
  • Historical performance for each last-layer case, to review slowest LL cases for more practice
  • Automatic phased timer advance for CFOP, ZBLL, and COLL/EPLL
  • Average pause/solve times for F2L pairs
  • Automatic scramble verification and timer start/stop
Would love to get your thoughts or any feedback on the app and feature set. Note, you can still test drive the app with the above TestFlight link, although BT features are not on testflight. Hope you find it useful!
