Hello, everyone! My name is Robert, though I go by the profile of Skyacinth.

I am currently new to speedcubing, as I started only a couple weeks ago, and currently can only solve a 3x3x3. However, I have recently ordered a Shengshou 4x4x4, 5x5x5, and Megaminx. I look forward to the new challenge!

My current average on a 3x3x3 is :41.83, with my best being :28.42(Love PLL skips!) using CFOP method, though I use beginner's PLL. I do use advanced cross, F2L, and 2-look OLL, however.

I'm also happy that I've found a place I can interact with people who share the same interest as me and don't constantly say, "I just peel the stickers off!" It's honestly refreshing and relieving that I've found this place.

Anyway, if there's anything you would like to ask me, don't hesitate to! I love chatting with people and social interaction in general!

Hello!

4-look LL should be more than enough to get sub-30 in a couple of months, or even sooner, though learning 1-look PLL along the way can't hurt. (3LLL sub-30... hey, that's me! :)) Which brand of 3x3 are you using now?

It's a shame that no one around you is really interested in the cube - I think more than half of my friends can solve at least one layer (not face!) of the 3x3 in, say, 10 minutes? You must have lots to contribute to the Non-Cubers say the darndest things! thread XD

Maybe you can ask about upcoming competitions or cuber meetups in your area on the forums.

All the best, and welcome to the community!

Have you found the World Cubing association website yet? It's an organization that holds competitions all over the world and keeps statistics like rankings and stuff. You should check it out, like the guy above me said, there's probably competitions in Ohio or a nearby state at least. You can find the upcoming competitions in the competition page of the world cubing association website.

40 seconds is pretty good for only a couple weeks! GJ!.

I am currently using a YJ Yulong, and I've been doing very well with it. However, after a while, I am planning on getting a more intermediate speed cube in the next few weeks. Do you have any suggestions as to what I should get?

Hm, I probably could ask for upcoming meetups or competitions, thanks for the idea!

Oh, NewCuber, I've also checked out the site, and unfortunately, there are no competitions in or near Ohio. The closest would be on June 12-13 in Indiana, lol.

Thanks for the suggestions!
