His conclusion is actually what my own logic is telling me to think. I honestly can't figure out why yau is so much better for me on 6x6/7x7 (and no, it's not just because I've practiced it more now. My first couple days of using yau on each of those cubes were enough to break my redux PB's, and I wasn't exactly comfortable with the yauL4C yet at that time)

Who knows?

The method is still rather young... My best single is 57 and my best avg of 5 is 1:03. I'm willing to believe that it's possible to average under a minute with it. I just need to turn faster... (easier said than done)

We need movecounts yo.

I will do a few solves with each and compare movecounts, but obviously yau5 isn't my main method so it won't represent the method that well.

Have some yau5 numbers

solve 1 -
F2C = 26
F3E = 19
L4C = 47
N5E+2F2L = 55
L4E+F2L = 41 (parity)
LL = 26
total = 214

solve 2 -
F2C = 31
F3E = 17
L4C = 45
N5E+2F2L = 56
L4E+F2L = 47 (parity)
LL = 23
total = 219

solve 3 -
F2C = 21
F3E = 20
L4C = 47
N5E+2F2L = 51
L4E+F2L = 51 (parity)
LL = 24
total = 214

solve 4 -
F2C = 24
F3E = 17
L4C = 41
N5E+2F2L = 67
L4E+F2L = 48 (parity)
LL = 26
total = 223

solve 5 -
F2C = 21
F3E = 15
L4C = 37
N5E+2F2L = 60
L4E+F2L = 32
LL = 26
total = 193

I realy dont know, but I use Yau, cause I can not sub 1:30 with reduction
anyway I will try in this month answer my main question, that is: is possible get sub 55 singles using yau? and sub1avg? sure about its possible to cubers faster than me, like sebastian feliks and mats

[Question that is not worth a thread imo:]

Does anybody use a mix of Yau and Redux which is just solve any four edges Yau style, and then use Freeslice or something? If that makes sense. (Still can't decide between Yau and normal Redux. wow)

I think that reduction on 5x5 is a lot of intuitive than Yau is. But I accidentally voted for redux...

Okay. I'm no super cuber, but I about 1:30 on 5x5. Okay, I agree that you can get good move counts and solves if you practice it. I realize that now. Sorry for the wrong statement.
But I stand on Yau for 4x4.
