I had a 4x4 eastsheen cube previously that i broke... and it did not seem to turn that well so i am wondering if there are any recommendations for a good 4x4 cube that turns well?

How old was your ES 4x4? ES cubes tend to age badly, and become slow and prone to locking up. ES 4x4s seem to be more widely used than Rubik's 4x4s, but you have to be prepared to buy a new one every so often.

Mine did that too my only option was to buy a new one, and that seemed to work out well, so i would suggest to buy a new 4x4

its implied in both the replies that an eastsheen went crap for both of them and they bought new ones.
you could get a Rubiks brand and see if you prefer it. if not, hey, at least making you go slower than you normally are improves your lookahead.
alternatively if you really liked the old eastsheen buy another one.
you could even wait until its released and buy a V4.

Why does Syuhei say that they get better when you use it more? Something isn't right here...

my old east sheen locks up a lot too and anyway i have no idea how to fix a 4x4 back if it breaks fully. Erm they are making a Vcube 4x4? lol then i would want to wait for that if it is true. anyway for now i guess i will have to use a friend's cube...

If that's true then it will probably come out in 2 years or more. I'm not sure if I would wait that long.

lube the posts that the centers sit on with 3 in 1 oil! Thats how I made mine great. I also lube it lots with crc and I clean it.
