I don't know, I believe I've never had textured so I believe it are smooth tiles, I don't really know what textured tiles feel like.
The cubelets pops sometimes if I go very fast or use too much force. After some comparing with my Rubik's original cube, it looks like the cubelets look the same and the core as well. I have my Rubik's original way longer, but it doesn't cut corners and it doesn't pop, while I've loosen'd my DIY cube so probably that makes it kinda pop I believe.
So what type can it be?

Not that i know of. Might be wrong though since i only have one.

Well you only need "1" to be able to compare the pieces of yours to those of the cube in the picture. If they're the same and you know that yours is definetly a Rub' DIY, then either it is a Rubiks DIY, or yours and his are both KO or something different. I thought that all Rubiks 3x3x3s had sealed pieces, but I don't know for sure. Just saying...I only have one Rubiks brand and that's just for the collection and it was my first 3x3x3, so it has sentimental value.

Either way, it's probably not that good to speed solve. At least not as good as other 3x3x3s I would imagine. Does yours say anything under the center caps?

My cube looks exactly like this: http://www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php/File:Type-c.jpg
And that picture looks exactly like this: http://www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php/File:Type-f.jpg
And beyond: http://www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php/File:Type-d.jpg

And even like many other types they use that picture, but my cube looks exactly like that one, so what is it after all?

There's a bunch of KO cubes based on the "old-skool" Rubiks mech, so it could be anything...

Xxoxia to the rescue?

I'm leaning towards F because of the curves in the edges and corners.

I forgot to say I dont have it with me since I keep it at school so I'm going off what I remember about it.

Its all right. My fault since i didn't add that to my first post.
I love talking about cubes since I find the little differences in them to be major differences.

You're so right about that. It's always an amazing experience for me when I get a new cube. Even if the cube is rubbish, they all seem to have their own characters and traits and I adore exploring them.
